The Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint swept the internet off its feet when it first launched. Everyone was testing it out and there were a lot of mixed reviews. The people who love this, are obsessed with it. And the people who hate it, really hate it. There’s no in-between.
I finally got the chance to try this product a while back and I’ve been testing it out to see how I feel about it. And today, I’m here to set the record straight once and for all.
From watching and reading all the reviews online, I kinda gathered that I would enjoy this. And I was right! But I had no idea just how much I’d fall in love. I’ve said this before on a couple of Youtube videos but I don’t think I’ve ever tried any base product as unique as this one.
The formula of this product is unlike anything else I’ve ever tried. The consistency sort of feels like a moisturizer/sunscreen as you apply it and it almost absorbs into the skin like a skincare product would. It’s lightweight –– which is something we all expect from skin tint-like products, but the kicker is the fact that it has amazing coverage!
This is a medium coverage product with the feel of a barely-there coverage product. And even though it evens out the skin and covers small imperfections, it still looks like skin. Instead of sitting on top of your skin, the product really melts into it and creates the most natural of looks. And on top of that, it has this blurring effect on your pores without feeling silicone-y or slippery. This really is like applying an Insta filter on your face –– sans the pouty lips and fake nose job.
The best way to apply this is with your fingers to really work the product into the skin and make it look as natural as possible. As the day goes by and depending on your skin type, this turns from a satin finish into a dewier, glowy finish. But it never looks oily and the product never breaks-up on the skin. It looks like skin from the moment you put it on to the moment you remove it.
The shade range on this is also pretty amazing considering this is supposed to be one of those products where one shade can work on a few similar skin tones and undertones. I can’t attest to that because I’ve only ever used the shade that matches me best. But, either way, this has a pretty evenly distributed shade range.
One thing I’ve noticed from the slew of reviews online is that people with drier skin tend to hate this. I don’t feel like this formula is matte or overly drying but something about it seems to clash with drier skin types. Although I do know of some people with dry skin who love this so it might be more of a case-by-case basis. So, based on that and my personal experience, I would mainly recommend this product to anyone who has normal to oily skin.
I have to say, this skin tint truly is the perfect everyday base for my combo skin. It’s so easy to apply and blend, it looks natural, and it wears amazingly throughout the day. I’m telling you, there is nothing else like this on the market!
Price & Packaging
Ok, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. This skin tint contains 1.08 oz. of product per tube and it retails for $29.50. And while this looks small, the amount of product inside is standard for a skin tint/tinted moisturizer type of product.
One other thing I love about this is the packaging. It’s very on-brand for Fenty and I love the fact that you can see the shade through it. It’s also a relatively small squeezy tube so it’s perfect to chuck in your bag at any time.
All things considered, this is an absolute bargain of a product and I’d be willing to pay double the price because it’s just that good. (Don’t take that to heart Fenty, my wallet absolutely cannot take it!)
So, who is this for?
- Natural no-makeup makeup lovers
- Normal to oily skin folks looking for an easy, everyday base product that looks like skin
- Anyone who’s had their eye on this and has yet to try it
If you could only buy one thing this month, buy the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drops. I’m telling you, they’re worth every penny!
