My Top 5 Cream Blushes for Summer

My Top 5 Cream Blushes for Summer

Wearing blush in the summer is a rite of passage. If you don’t, I’m judging you. (Not really, I just have to say that for dramatic effect.)

You guys know that I love wearing blush all year round but during the summer months, the love intensifies. I go bolder with my blush and tend to pile it on more generously. I really enjoy that faux sun-kissed look without the sun damage. And I know a lot of you do too.

In today’s blog post I’m sharing my top five favorite blushes to wear during summer for that fresh, healthy sun-kissed look. Check them out!

Physicians Formula Dewy Blush Elixir in Gorgeous Peach

This is one of my favorite peachy cream blushes of all time! This blush gives my cheeks a natural flush of color and a whole lot of dew. What I love most about this is that the color is buildable so you can make it as subtle or as intense as you want. And the fact that it’s sheer and dewy means it’s easy to blend into the skin and into your makeup. Plus, it’s from the drugstore so it’s affordable but you don’t compromise quality.

Patrick Ta Double-Take Creme & Powder Blush in Do We Know Her

This is the perfect customizable 2-in-1 blush. I love the fact that you get both a powder and a cream in one because you can use them separate or layer them together for a more intense, long-lasting color. Both are easy to apply separately and layered. The shades are the perfect peachy pink for that sun-burnt look that’s all over the internet at the moment. And even though this is an expensive blush, the quality is immaculate and the price is well worth it.

Tower 28 BeachPlease Tinted Lip + Cheek Balm in Golden Hour

This Tower 28 blush is my go-to beach blush. Every time I go to the beach or a pool, this is coming with me. It can be worn on the eyes, lips, and cheeks but I primarily use it as a blush. The color is a super vibrant peach mixed with some coral and, even though it looks like an intimidating color, it blends so well on the skin. This is also a dewy blush but it doesn’t migrate throughout the day and it’s actually pretty long-lasting on the skin. Everyone always raves about these blushes and it’s for a good reason!

Flower Beauty Blush Bomb in Cinnamon

The Flower Beauty Blush Bombs have got to be my favorite drugstore blushes of all time. That might be because of the fact that they’re close dupes to the Glossier Cloud Paints, but these blow me away every time I use them. This shade specifically, is the perfect terra-cotta color for a sun-kissed look on most skin tones.

The formula is very pigmented but, again, the fact that it’s dewy makes it blend seamlessly into the skin for a natural dewy look. You can, of course, build up the color as needed for a longer-lasting, intense look. And we can’t forget about the fact that this is less than $15. If you’ve yet to try these, take this as a sign and pick one up!

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Love

No summer look of mine is ever complete without the Rare Beauty blush in the shade Love. This is a vibrant terra-cotta red that is perfect for a more intense sun-kissed look. This differs from the other four blushes because it’s matte and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. The tiniest bit of product goes the longest of ways and it will almost always look quite intense.

My favorite part about this formula is that it’s super long-lasting despite the heat and all the mask-wearing that everyone is (hopefully) doing this summer. If you have combo/oily skin and do not want to fuck with dewy blushes, this matte formula has got you covered!

And that wraps my top five blushes I reach for the most during the summer months! What are your go-to summer blushes?

Thank you so much for reading!

Love always,

Isa ❤
