If YOu Could Only Buy 1 Thing This Month, Buy The Makeup Forever Artist Color Pencils

If you follow me on Instagram or Youtube, you know I’m currently on a low buy and I haven’t been trying many new products. This is why I haven’t done a product review in a hot minute. But I’m ready to get back into the swing of things!

Today’s topic of discussion is the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencils. If you’re not new here, you know that my love for my Artist Color Pencil in Endless Cacao runs deep and I mention it all the time. These have been around for a while and they don’t get the hype they deserve, so I must let you know how amazing they are.

The Formula

Let’s start off with the formula. These pencils are a satin-matte finish that doesn’t set down completely. They glide on smoothly which makes them easy to apply because there’s no tugging or pulling involved. Because they don’t set down completely, they’re also easy to blend and smudge, but don’t be fooled. Just because they don’t set doesn’t mean you’ll look like a raccoon after a few hours of wear. They are quite long-lasting and water-resistant, so you don’t have to worry about them traveling all over the place.

The best thing about this formula is the fact that you can safely use it all over the face. You can use these on your eyes, your brows, your cheeks, and your lips! My favorite way to use mine (read: Endless Cacao), is as a lip liner. Because it is a creamier formula it’s very comfy on the lips and it’s easy to blend around the edges. I’ve also used the same shade as contour and even as an eyeshadow base on occasion. That gives you an idea of how versatile these are.

The versatility will also depend on the shade you pick out cause you usually don’t want to be using a green liner on your face or lips. But that’s the beauty of these! There’s a good shade range with neutrals and bright colors so everyone will find what works best for them.

Of all the pencil liners I’ve tried, these are the most comfortable and easiest to use. The fact that you can use them all over is just an added bonus.

Packaging + Price

One other thing that I love about these is the packaging. They’re made of wood and they look like a literal artist’s pencil! I love that each different shade has its corresponding color in the packaging so they’re easy to distinguish and pick out. Overall, it’s great packaging that fits with Make Up For Ever’s branding and it’s easy to sharpen. What more could you want?

As for the price, these are $18 and you get 0.04 oz of product which is the standard amount for pencil liners. For the amount of product that you get and the versatility of these, $18 is a total steal! Plus the quality is unmatched so that makes them even more worth it in my humble opinion.

So, who are these for?

  • People who have been on the hunt for amazing, neutral or colorful liners.
  • Working Makeup Artists.
  • Makeup minimalists who like multi-use products.

If you could only buy one thing this month, buy the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencils. I guarantee you’ll be obsessed in no time!

Love always,

Isa ❤
