Affordable Beauty Brands You Must Try!

Over the past few years, we’ve seen affordable beauty brands step up their game. The beauty community no longer associates drugstore beauty with low-quality products and I, for one, am ecstatic about that. As a 21-year-old, I don’t really have a lot of disposable income I can use to fuel my beauty addiction, so affordable products are my saving grace.

There are endless amounts of great affordable beauty brands with beauty products that are comparable –– if not better –– than high-end products. Over my years of experimenting with affordable brands I found my holy grail, favorite brands you must have in your collection at some point.

In this blog post, I’m gonna share six of the best affordable beauty brands and why you must try them. Check them out!

Maybelline is a cult classic that aged like fine wine. It literally keeps getting better with age. Over the years they’ve had some dud products (they still do) but, for the most part, Maybelline consistently comes out with great products. They like to stick to their classic staples with a few fun, quirky launches here and there that are easy to use. One of my favorite things about the brand is that, while their products have been getting better and better, the prices haven’t increased that much. Maybelline is still that affordable, accessible brand we all love.

Here are some of my favorite Maybelline products:

Maybelline Lifter Gloss | Maybelline City Bronzer | Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara | Maybelline Color Sensational Made For All Lipstick

Another classic brand that has improved over time. L’Oréal is one of those brands that makes me nostalgic and brings me comfort when I wear it. Their products have been in my life for a long time and the fact that they’ve improved the quality of them makes me super happy. Most products in their line are high quality and functional. They don’t really participate in a lot of gimmicky launches and I appreciate that. The only thing I don’t appreciate is how their prices have increased over time. L’Oréal is probably one of the more expensive brands at the drugstore but they’re worth it for the quality.

L’Oreal Brow Stylist Boost & Set Brow Mascara | L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation | L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows | L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine Lipstick

Elf is the literal definition of a glow-up. It’s always been one of the most affordable brands available but their products weren’t all that good. Until now. Over the past year or so they’ve rebranded and they have been coming out with new amazing products that are high quality and fun to use. They have a good mix of basic makeup, colorful makeup, and great skincare options. Elf’s range is huge and their low prices are simply unbeatable.

Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer | Elf Sheer Slick Lipstick | Elf Flawless Face Brush | Elf Primer-Infused Blush

NYX has always been the innovative, fun brand at the drugstore. They’ve always had great products and they keep coming out with hits year after year. They do have a few dud products but for the most part, they’re doing great. What I love about NYX is that they have a wide range of products and tools for all your needs. They have beautiful products that everyday makeup wearers can use and great products that a makeup artist can include in her kit. They’re one of the only brands that have wacky, fun products that actually work and that are affordable.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream | NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Concealer | NYX The Brow Glue | NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil

Colourpop is like the fast fashion of beauty because they launch products every few weeks. And while that makes it really hard to keep up with their products, I can’t help but love them. Colourpop revolutionized affordable makeup. They brought new ideas and unique formulas to the market and everyone fell in love with them. Since day one Colourpop has come out with high-quality products that don’t break the bank and that’s why they’re one of my favorites. They have fun products and everyday staples, so everyone can find what they want at Colourpop.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadows | Colourpop Supershock Cheek | Colourpop Brow Boss Gel | Colourpop Lippie Pencils

Juvia’s Place

Juvia’s Place is probably the newest and most underrated brand out of the bunch, but it is a must-try. They’re one of the only inclusive brands at the drugstore with products that work on every skin tone. Similar to Colourpop, they’ve always had high-quality products that were made to last and they keep stepping up their game with every new launch. Juvia’s Place has some of the best eyeshadow palettes at the drugstore and beyond. Their pristine quality is comparable to high-end shadows and the biggest differentiator is the price.

Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Velvety Matte Foundation | Juvia’s Place The Masquerade Mini Palette | Juvia’s Place The Nubian Palette | Juvia’s Place The Warrior Eyeshadow Palette

Of course, I love many other affordable brands but these are some brands that I can’t get enough of lately. Let me know if you would like to see a part two featuring more of my favorite affordable brands!

What are your favorite affordable/drugstore brands?

Thank you so much for reading! I hope this was helpful 🙂

Love always,

Isa ❤
