Happy New Year friends!! I took a small break to recharge my batteries but I’m back and ready to get blogging.
Since we’re kicking a new year off I thought it would be the perfect time to catch up on what’s new in beauty at the moment. And, by default, add some new products to my ever-growing wishlist.
Winter 2020/2021 has proven to be a great time for product launches and I got my eye on a few sneaky beauty bits. Beauty brands have stepped up their game in the past few months so I’m excited to see what the rest of the year brings us!
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. For now, let’s stick to the latest beauty launches. Check out what I’m adding to my wishlist below!
Elf Mint Melt Eyeshadows in Mint 2 Be
Elf recently launched their mint collection and it’s so adorable! I’m specifically eyeing these mini quads because I’ve been obsessed with green lately. The Mint 2 Be quad is all greens (2 mattes, 2 shimmers) and I could create some interesting looks with it. Elf shadows can be hit or miss but they’ve been stepping up their game for a while now so I’m not worried about the quality. Plus they’re insanely affordable so I’m not expecting PMG quality shadows.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Powder Foundation
I’m not into powder foundation but that’s because powder foundations haven’t been in for the past few years. But then Fenty Beauty comes out with a powder foundation and suddenly I’m intrigued! I haven’t heard much about this foundation yet but I think it would be a great pair with my combo skin. I’m really interested in playing and experimenting with the texture, application, etc. This might be one of the rare products in my wishlist that I actually end up purchasing!
Bite Beauty Upswing Full Volume Mascara
This mascara was a complete surprise to me. I didn’t see it coming but now that it’s here, I need it in my life. This is a volumizing mascara that gives your lashes length and curls. And it’s smudge-resistant! So it’s basically a perfect match for my mascara needs. It’s a clean beauty product which means there’s probably a bunch of nourishing ingredients for your lashes. And I know there aren’t many great ‘clean mascaras’ so this one might change the game for good.
The Inkey List Succinic Acid Acne Treatment
Like the rest of the people living through a global pandemic, I’m still struggling with maskne. So once I saw this product launch, it went straight into my wishlist. No question. I’ve never heard of succinct acid before but it’s supposed to be gentle on your skin and work on all skin types. This is unlike any other acne treatment I’ve heard about so I’m excited to eventually try it. The fact that it doesn’t break the bank means I’ll definitely purchase it at some point.
Gucci Natural Finish Fluid Foundation
This is one of those products that will live on my wishlist forever cause it is ridiculously pricy. I’ve heard a few people rave about it though, so who knows what’ll happen. This is a light/medium coverage foundation that’s meant to look natural on the skin. You can build it up to decent coverage but it’ll always look like skin. The shade range is very inclusive which should honestly be a must for all foundations by now. All signs point to this being a great foundation but I need to do a lot more research before I consider purchasing it.
Physicians Formula Matte Monoi Bronzer
Do I need yet another bronzer? No. Do I want this one? Absolutely. This bronzer is meant to be like the OG Butter Bronzer formula but matte. If you know me, you know I love the Butter Bronzer’s formula so I know I’d love this one. I tend to like matte bronzers better because I can contour with them so I think this bronzer would be perfect for me. The only thing I hate is the shade range. From what I can tell, there are only 2 shades ––which is unacceptable. I hope they come out with more shades soon cause I’m not buying it until they do.
And those are all the new beauty products that made it into my winter wishlist! What’s new on your current beauty wishlist?
Thank you so much for reading!
