8 Best Beauty Products To Try In Summer 2020

Can you guys believe it’s July already? Time is flying by!

A big chunk of the world is in the thick of summer right now and summer is my favorite ‘makeup-wearing’ season because of all the fun products that come out.

I tend to wear less makeup in the summer but I enjoy spicing up my routine and trying different looks, like bold colors and glossy everything. For me, this season is about having a fun time and experimenting with my look while taking extra care of my skin. You know, because of the sun.

And I think a big part of that is all the products that brands release during the summer months. A lot of them tend to be colorful and quirky products you can only ever wear during summer.

I took it upon myself to compile a list of amazing products ––new and old–– that will bring your summer 2020 makeup looks to the next level. So if you’re looking for some new products to spice things up a bit or you need some staples to get your makeup to last through the summer heat, check these out!

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator | $55

I mostly focus on makeup skincare is definitely more important for our skin. Especially during summer. This is a gentle mask, formulated for all skin types that promises to soothe and hydrate the skin.

I think this is the perfect mask for summer because it’s cooling and refreshing which is what we all need after long days in the sun. Especially if you get a bit sunburnt. If you’re looking for something that’s gonna gently keep your skin in check this summer, try this mask out.

Coola Full Spectrum 360° Refreshing Water Mist Organic Free Sunscreen SPF 18 | $36

Sunscreen for summer is a no-brainer. But if you’re like me and tend to not reapply your sunscreen cause you wear makeup, this product might just save your skin. (if you’re applying a good coat of SPF 30+ before makeup, of course) It’ll probably save your skin even if you don’t wear makeup.

This mist promises to protect and refresh the skin. It has a lot of skincare benefits aside from the SPF and it’s formulated with clean ingredients. This is a perfect on-the-go product all year round but I think it would really shine during the summer months.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Natural Skin Perfect Broad Spectrum SPF 30 | $47

We’ve all owned this tinted moisturizer at different points in our lives and I think summer 2020 is the time to bring it back. Who’s with me?

This is a very lightweight product that evens out your skin and gives you a natural look. It’s buildable but it will always make your skin look fresh. Just what I look for during the summer months. Plus it has an SPF 30 which can be beneficial for your skin. (I know layering SPF doesn’t really increase its benefits but it has to do something, right??)

Perricone MD No Makeup Bronzer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 | $35

I don’t know about you but, during summer, the less makeup I feel on my skin the better. That’s why this is the perfect summer bronzer. Not only does it provide a small dose of SPF but it looks like you have nothing on your cheeks.

This is a very lightweight bronzer that dries down so you don’t have to worry about it moving around everywhere. It’s very light and very sheer so if you want something more intense perhaps look for a bronzer that doesn’t have the words ‘no makeup’ in its name. But, if you are just looking for a natural bronzer that feels like nothing on the skin, this is it.

NYX Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint | $9

To me, summer is all about flushed cheeks. And since I don’t wanna burn and damage my skin, I use blush to get the look. These new blushes from NYX are the perfect, affordable products to achieve it.

They’re very pigmented right from the get-go but, don’t worry; if you only use a small amount you’ll get a sheer, less intense look. Once the formula sets it feels like nothing and it looks like your skin is naturally flushed. It’s also quite long-lasting. Blush tends to fade quickly, especially in the heat, so these blushes are musts for summer.

Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray | $33

If you enjoy wearing makeup during summer, this setting spray will save your life. Even if the only thing you’re wearing is concealer and a little blush. Trust me.

This product not only sets and prolongs the wear of your makeup but it also makes sure you don’t look like an oily mess. If you have oilier skin, this should be a must in your collection. But even if you don’t have oily skin, this setting spray might save your makeup from looking like a complete mess in the summer heat.

Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows | $25

I do not like to fuzz with eyeshadow during summer. But I love the look of a pop of color on the lids. That’s where this product comes in.

These shadows are the perfect low maintenance/one shadow look product for summer. They come in a bunch of colorful and neutral shades that are very easy to use and really quick to apply. Since these are liquid shadows they’re prone to be longer-lasting and they’re less likely to crease; which is just what I need when I have literal sweat beads falling onto my eyeballs.

Ahh, I love summer!

elf Ride Or Die Lip Balm | $5

This newest release from elf just screams summer to me. There’s nothing like a good tinted lip balm to give your lips that glossy, stained look.

That’s exactly what this product is. These come in 4 shades, all perfect for summer and the formula is nourishing on the lips. It adds a sheer coat of buildable color to your lips and it gives you that juicy, ‘wet’ look. These lip balms are perfect if you’re looking for a low maintenance lip product that you can apply without needing a mirror.

With these 8 products your makeup will be more than ready for summer!

What’s your must-have beauty product during the summer months?

Thank you for tuning in! I hope this post helped you find what you were looking for 🙂

Love always,

Isa ❤
