What I Really Think of the Róen 75° Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatches

Another review, coming in hot!

I’ve been playing with a lot of new beauty products so I have a lot I want to review, ok? Don’t judge me.

Today’s product is the Róen 75° Eyeshadow Palette. This palette came out a while ago and got decent hype. There were a lot of mixed reviews so I hesitated on getting it. In the end, I wanted to form my own opinions on it so I decided to purchase it.

I’ve been testing it out for a few weeks and I’ve gathered some thoughts. If you wanna know what said thoughts are, keep on reading!

I’d call this a quad, not a palette, let’s start with that. It consists of four glitter shadows / pressed glitters. They’re all warm tones but Róen also has a version of this palette with just cool tones.

What initially drew me to the palette were the beautiful colors and the reflective quality of them. From what I saw online they swatched beautifully and they look insane on the eyes. And I can attest that to be true.

The formula is that cream to powder formula we’ve all come to love. I will say though it’s inconsistent throughout the palette. There are a few shades that are creamier and feel wetter to the touch and there are others that feel very dry when you swatch them.

I found that it also has to do with the amount of glitter on each shade. The shades that have chunkier glitter are dryer. And the shades that have less glitter are creamier and smoother. Personally, I’m not bothered by that. But I know that some people are.

Despite being inconsistent in the formula, they all apply best with the fingers. They stick very well to the lids which can make them hard to blend with a brush. The warmth of the fingers really makes a difference. Plus the fact that they stick so well to the lids means that there’s minimal glitter fallout and the shimmer will last all day.

My favorite thing about these shadows is how easy it is to create looks with them. I rarely ever mix them because I love how they look by themselves on the eyes. They’re perfect for 1 shadow looks! They also layer well on top of powders so they’re great as shadow toppers as well.

One last thing worth mentioning is that this palette is categorized as “clean beauty”. I’m not really into the whole clean beauty thing so I can’t give you many details about that. But I can let you know that these shadows are great glitter alternatives if you use strictly clean beauty products.

One other thing I love about this palette is the packaging. It’s very sleek and sophisticated. It comes with a high-quality mirror and all in all, feels very luxe. It does get dirty very quickly but if you keep the palette in its pouch you won’t have to worry about fingerprints everywhere.

This palette is $42 and I have some thoughts about that. In my opinion, it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. Nowadays you can get a lot of amazing glitter shadows for a quarter of the price so I don’t think the shadows are worth $42.

What I do think is that you’re paying for the “clean” aspect of the palette. High-quality ingredients and a luxe packaging will bump up the price of anything. If you appreciate those two elements, then the price is quite fair.

Overall I enjoy this palette. Do I recommend everyone go out and buy it? No. But I think if you’re curious about the brand and you have some money to spend, it’s a beautiful product. Also, if you’re into clean beauty and want to add more sparkle to your makeup collection, I think you’d really love this.

What about you? Have you tried this palette yet? What did you think of it?

Thank you so much for reading! I hope this was helpful 🙂

Lots of love,

Isa ❤
