What I Really Think of the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Foundation | Review

It’s review time, my loves! Today I’m sharing everything there is to know about the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Foundation.

This foundation came out during the summer and I bought it without hesitation. It claims to have a lot of skincare benefits that could serve just about anyone.

I’ve been testing it out for a few months to see if it really works and today I’m here to report my findings.

Keep on reading to know my thoughts on this drugstore foundation.

This foundation claims to be a full coverage protective makeup sunscreen that protects against pollution. So it’s makeup and it’s sunscreen (spf 50+). And I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a lot for just one product.

And while I was skeptical at first, I’m happy to report that the foundation actually does what it’s supposed to.

From my experience, I’d say this is a lightweight, satin formula with medium coverage. It is buildable but it won’t cover what an actual full coverage foundation covers. And it looks quite natural on the skin.

I also find that it does a good job of protecting from the sun. Obviously, it’s not a substitute for sunscreen, but it’s a nice bonus. As for the anti-pollution thing, I don’t really have a way of measuring that and I haven’t noticed anything different with my skin. So I’m gonna call bullshit on that one.

I like to apply this with my hands and then smooth it out with a sponge but you could also use a brush to apply it. The formula is easy to use. Depending on which tool you use you’ll get slightly different lasting power. But for the most part, this wears great throughout the day and it fades evenly after about 8 hours or so.

This foundation works great with all skin types and for all skin tones. They have a wide color range so there’s a lot to choose from. I will say though, if you have oily skin you’ll definitely need to powder if you want to keep the shine away.

I’m enjoying this foundation as more of an everyday product. It covers everything I need it to and it looks natural. I wouldn’t use it to substitute an actual foundation though.

I also enjoy the fact that this comes in a squeezy tube. It’s very convenient. And the packaging is transparent so you can keep track of how much you’ve used up. I wouldn’t say this packaging is beautiful, but it’s practical and I have no problems with that.

You get 1 fl. oz. of product inside, for $10.99. Considering the quality of the product, I think it’s a great price to pay. Especially since it’s widely available in most drugstores.

I think I’m gonna be using this foundation for a loooong time.

What do you think of this foundation? Have you tried it before? Let me know your thoughts!

Thank you so much for reading!

Lots of love,

Isa ❤

I’ve been wanting to try this product out, but since this is supposed to be a dupe for the IT cosmetics CC cream, I’m a little nervous. While the IT cosmetics looks great when I first put it on, it tends to break up after a little bit, and also breaks me out terribly! Tati Westbrook tried this out and said she liked it better than the IT cosmetics, because it didn’t break her out, so I might give it a try. Great review! xxx
