The holidays are officially here and while I don’t exactly feel merry and bright just yet, it was about time my holiday posts started rolling in.
Today we’re talking about lip products. I mean, when are we not? I just can’t help it! Lip products are my area of expertise and I wanna share my knowledge with you.
Going back to the holiday theme, lipsticks are the best and easiest way to transform a regular look into a festive, holiday look. You don’t need anything else.
That’s why I’m sharing the best (in my humble, lipstick-obsessed opinion) lip products everyone should wear during the holidays!
Glossier Lip Gloss | $14 USD
Now, this isn’t technically a lipstick but it still works. If you’re a low-key makeup wearer and just want to add subtle shine into your look, this lip gloss is your friend. Also if you wanna modify some other lippies in your collection, mix them with this baby and witness some magic happening.
The formula isn’t sticky, which means it’s not the longest lasting. But it does hydrate the lips like nobody’s business. If you have dry, flakey lips this will cure them. And if you’re like me and you have non-existent lips, this gloss will make them look plump and juicy aka. way bigger than they are.
Dose Of Colors Desi X Katy My Main | $18 USD
The holidays can be festive and colorful but you always need a nude lipstick. And My Main is the nude of your dreams. It’s a dark peachy color that goes with every look, no matter how dramatic.
This lippie is a velvet formula so that means it’s long lasting but it doesn’t dry down. It’s extremely comfortable to wear and it doesn’t dry out your lips. And that’s perfect because no one wants butthole lips no matter the season.
Ohii True Matte Lip in Icon | $16 USD
I’m truly a warm tone kinda gal, but I had to include one lipstick for my cool tone lovers out there. This liquid lipstick by Ohii is just perfect! The color is a beautiful dark mauve that’s a bit vampy but can still pass off as a nude.
The formula dries down matte, which makes it quite long lasting. Since this is a liquid lipstick it can dry out your lips if you don’t prep them beforehand. But other than that it’s perfect for eating and drinking all night long.
Lancôme L’Absolu Lacquer in 134 Be Brilliant | $26 USD
These are perfect all year round but they’re especially perfect for the holidays because they’re shiny and pigmented. This shade in particular, is a beautiful raspberry red that screams holiday season.
If you need something that lasts all night but you don’t want the matte look, go for this baby right here. It’s glossy and it stains your lips so you’ll get the color payoff you want without the uncomfortable feeling of a matte lipstick. You can also build up the color as you wish, so it’s great for a customized look.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Tannin | $26 USD
I just had to add another red to the list! ‘Tis the season and all that jazz. This one by Bite is a dark, rich red and I like to consider it the literal color of Christmas.
The satin formula is extremely comfortable to wear, same as with all their other lipsticks. The pigmentation is uh-mazing and even though this is a regular bullet lipstick, I find that it is quite long lasting.
Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in Voyager | $8 USD
If you’re looking for something that won’t budge no matter how much you stuff your face with holiday foods, you need this lipstick. The color is a super vampy burgundy that is perfect for more neutral looks.
I’ve raved about this formula so much and I’ll continue doing so because it’s incredible. This is a liquid lipstick so it dries down matte but it doesn’t dry out your lips. You do not need to retouch it at al because it’s extremely long lasting. Sounds like a dream, no?
After writing ‘holidays’ a thousand times, I’ve come to the end of my list. What other lip products would you add to it?
Thank you so much for reading!
Lots of love and holiday cheer,
