Hey guys! What’s up?
In the last couple of months I’ve been doing quite a bit of shopping and I’ve been trying out tons of new and interesting products. Somehow I came across some new NudeStix products on the internet and decided I just had to try them out. So I did. And today I’m here to tell you what I think of the Magnetic Matte Lip Colors.
What drew me in about this product was the claim. These lipsticks are supposed to perform like liquid lipsticks but they’re in pencil form. Something about that interested me. I’m someone who struggles with liquid lipstick application so I definitely thought something like this would be much easier.
And it totally is! You get a precise application and the product just glides on your lips in the most satisfying way ever. No need to fuzz about it. Another plus about this product is that you can sharpen it so you can have that sharp tip no matter what.
These suckers are pigmented so you don’t have to go over them a million times. In fact if you apply a lot of layers it will start to feel very uncomfortable and heavy on the lips. As opposed to a liquid lipstick these feel really light on the lips, almost as if they weren’t there. They do dry out the lips whatsoever, but it’s impossible to achieve the matte look without a drying formula. The plus side to that is that they don’t go anywhere. You can eat and drink with these on and the lipstick will stay in place. Just like a liquid lippie would. When they start to rub off what you want to do is take the remaining product off your lips and then reapply. If you don’t do that, your lips will look like a hot mess.
There are only 8 colors in this collection, a good mix of neutrals and bolds. I won’t say there’s something for everyone but you do get a few options. The packaging is beautiful metal tin with a mirror on the lid and a sharpener for the product inside. I think it’s pretty clean and easy, I love it!
These retail for $24 and you get 0.10 oz. I do think the price is fair for what you get cause you’re not only paying for the product but you’re also paying for the lovely packaging. You can get these products at Sephora, Ulta or the NudeStix website.
Overall I rate this product an 8/10 because it’s a really cool concept and it’s good quality but it is quite a drying formula that doesn’t work for everyone.
Have you guys tried these babies out? Don’t forget to let me know in the comment section.
Thank you all so much for tuning in on this lovely Thursday!
Lots of love,
