We made it to 2017! How exciting is that? Thank you to everyone who has followed and read my blog for the past year, I really appreciate it. And I hope we can continue to grow as the years go on.
But anyways, today’s post is another installment of my ‘Vs.’ series. If you want to check out the previous posts you can click here and here. In this post I’m gonna talk about The Balm’s famous palettes, the Nude’tude and the NudeDude, so make sure to keep reading.
The Balm has a lot of great things and these two palettes are some of them. I love the theme and packaging of both and I think they’re very different. They’re both $36.00 which is a great price point. Now, to be honest with you, I don’t gravitate to these palettes often and they’re not my favorite. But I will say one thing, and that is, they both have a lot to offer.
The Nude’tude was the first to come out and I really loved the concept of it, so I bought it on sale off Hautelook. The shadows are very buttery and the pigment is amazing, but there is quite a bit of fallout. This is a good palette but in my opinion it doesn’t have enough mattes and I don’t think the colors go together all that well. One thing I love about it though, is the price point, because you get a lot of product but you’re not paying a ton of money for it.
I would recommend this to someone who wants a good palette but doesn’t necessarily want to pay a ton. Also if you collect makeup, this will be a great addition.
This palette is completely different from the other one. Not only because of the theme but the colors are different as well. I think that on this palette they made better color choices and the colors look like they’re cohesive. they’re not your standard traditional neutral shadows, but I like them. I would still like to see some more mattes though. The formula is consistent with the Nude’tude and it works great on the eyes. And, of course, I also love the price point. I think out of the two, this one’s my favorite.
I would recommend this palette to someone looking for a different approach to nude eyeshadows and also if you want some good quality shadows on a budget.
Have you guys tried these palettes yet? If so, what did you think of them? Did you love them? Hate them? I’d love to know your thought, so make sure to share them with me in the comment section.
Thank you so much for reading!
Happy new year,
