Urban Decay XX Vice LTD Reloaded Palette | Review and Swatches

The Vice LTD Reloaded palette by UD has been in the market for quite a while now, and I haven’t heard much about it. I didn’t buy this palette -I got it as a gift for my birthday a few months back. And even though I wouldn’t have given this a second glance at the store, I was pleasantly surprised when I started playing with it.

If you want to know more about this palette, just keep reading!

So first things first, this palette retails at $56 and it’s available at ulta.com and Urban Decay’s website. It comes with 20 eyeshadows, 0.03 oz per shadow, and it also includes a dual ended brush.

The packaging for this product is gorgeous. Very Urban Decay with the black and purple theme going on. And it does include the little button that you push and the palette opens up magically. They nailed this packaging!

Now for the eyeshadows, there are several different finishes within the palette. There are some matte, shimmers, metallics, and glittery ones as well. Overall the formula is very good but there are some shadows that perform better than others. The mattes are pretty chalky and they kick up a lot of product and there are some shimmers that don’t have the best pigmentation. But for the most part the eyeshadows are pretty good.

This palette, as you’ll be able to see in the pictures, is very colorful. But there are a few neutral shades mixed in as well. UD included some new shades and some old shades that they’ve used in different palettes and singles before. I don’t own many UD shadows but if you do then that might be something you need to consider.

In my opinion there should be more mattes in the palette, especially since it is very colorful. The color selection in the palette was very well thought out because you can easily mix and match some shadows to create endless looks. Even if you don’t know how to handle color very well there are different shades within the color selection that you could pair up easily. I really do enjoy the colors in this palette.

Now, do I think this palette is worth it? I think that for the average consumer it isn’t. And it’s not about the price, because I do think that it is a fair price for the amount of product you get. But if you’re a collector and you own several UD palettes then you’d just be getting a lot of repeats in this one. And generally speaking, most people don’t wear bold colors like this on an everyday basis. So no, I don’t think this palette is worth buying, unless  you enjoy color on an everyday basis.

But I want to know what you guys think as well! Do you like it? Hate it? Do you think it’s worth it? Make sure to leave your comments at the end of the post.

Thanks so much for reading!

Lot’s of love

Isa ❤
