Beauty Blenders are the best tool anyone can have in their makeup collection. There are a lot of of different makeup sponges in the market, but none of them compare to the BB. They don’t even come close.
The BB isn’t cheapest tool out there but it’s worth every penny. The Beauty Blender makes makeup application so easy and today I’m here to teach you how you can use yours to the best of its ability.
We all know about the Beauty Blender, but in case you don’t know about it, this is how it looks like. There are a few different colors and sizes, and you can buy them in several stores.
They’re made to be used damp but you can use them dry as well. When you dampen the sponge, it expands, and it becomes the most perfect tool to blend.
As I mentioned previously, Beauty Blenders aren’t cheap. So if you’re thinking, “There’s no way I’m gonna spend $20 on a sponge to apply foundation,” you’re wrong. They can be used for a million different things, not just foundation and concealer.
Coincidentally, my favorite way to use them is for foundation and concealer. I don’t like to apply my base with brushes because I feel like the makeup just sits on my face when I do that. But with the BB I feel like I can work the foundation and concealer into my skin and it will never look cake-y. Sometimes I like to apply my primer with my BB as well to let it really sink into the skin. Whenever I use the BB to apply my base I know that it will look good no matter what.
I also love to set my face -and bake it- using the Beauty Blender. Sometimes I feel like powder brushes deposit too much product and my face ends up looking cake-y. Using my damp BB to set my face prevents that from happening. Since the sponge is damp it helps the product melt into the skin and it gives a natural finish. It looks like you’re not even wearing powder at all!
Another way I use the beauty blender is for contouring. I do it mostly with cream contour because it blends everything seamlessly and it leaves no harsh lines. But I also love doing powder contouring with it as well. I just dip my BB into the contour powder and apply it on the face and it’s practically already blended out for me. The same goes for highlight and blush. I barely use brushes for contour anymore.
And those were three of my favorite ways to use the Beauty Blender. I’d like to know how you guys use your Beauty Blenders, so make sure to let me know in the comment section.
I hope you enjoyed this post and learned something new today. Thanks so much for reading!

I love my beauty blender, I use it basically every day. I’ve tried numerous brushes, but I feel they can leave my foundation streaky or not fully blended. Great post!
