The eye gloss trend has been around for quite a while, but it has started to become more relevant in these past few months. More and more companies are coming out with their own version of their eye gloss and more and more people are rocking this trend. But, what is this trend all about? How can everyday people rock this trend?
Make sure to keep reading to find out!
The eye gloss is basically the simplest trend ever, and I encourage you to try it. It’s edgy, it looks cool and you don’t have to do much. I love it because it looks so effortless and your skin looks radiant and healthy. It’s honestly the best.
If you’re not familiar with this trend It’s basically having glossy lids. Just like having glossy lips. You can do a simple look and just apply the gloss or you could do an intricate look and add it to your eye look to make it appear more exotic. It’s incredibly easy!
The way I’ve tried this look is by applying the gloss onto my lids. No shadow or anything, just the gloss. Normally when I do this look I don’t wear mascara because it can smear all over your eyes and create a mess. I’ve noticed that throughout the day my eyes do tend to crease a bit, but I feel like it’s part of the look and I don’t really mind it. I love wearing this look on no-makeup days and sometimes I dab a bit of the gloss onto my cheekbones to add some glow to my face without using a highlighter.
You can try this trend with different products like vaseline or some lip balm. And I’ve tried those methods and I recommend you get an actual eye gloss. The lip products can irritate your eyes and the skin around your eyes tends to absorb the product faster. If you don’t wanna actually buy a specific product to get glossy lids or if it’s a one time thing for you; then you can try these, sometimes they work.
The product that I bought was the Milk Makeup Eye Vinyl in Bridge. It’s a great product and even though it’s not the cheapest it works great for this trend. It has a very slight tint to it but you can still put it on top of other eyeshadows without a problem. MAC does some eye glosses as well. I recommend you get an eye gloss because it tends to hold up better in your eyes and it doesn’t irritate them. Actual eye glosses are the best way to achieve this trend.
I want to know your opinion on this whole eye gloss trend. Do you love it? Do you hate it? Have you tried it? I’d love to know what you guys think so make sure to leave me a comment!
