Valentine’s Day Makeup Tutorial | Daytime Look

February is the month of love. Or -how I like to see it- the month of endless chocolate and candy. Oh and super cute and girly makeup looks. Today I wanted to bring you guys just that. A very easy yet cute makeup look anyone can do. Wether you’re going out on a date or staying at home eating in front of the T.V., this look is perfect for you.

Every great eye look starts with a good base, so make sure to prime your eyes. Then set your primer with a loose powder so that the colors we put on top blend seamlessly.

I want to keep the eyeshadow simple cause I want the winged liner to be the focus of the look. Dust a light transition color on your crease and blend well. Next apply a light shimmery shade on the lid and make sure to blend everything one last time. You can add some more eyeshadow on the crease if necessary.

Now it’s time for the fun part. The eyeliner! I chose to wing mine out but feel free to wear it however you like.

Take a soft lilac liner and line your eyes with it. I used the ColourPop one in Cry Baby. Since pastel/white colors tend to crack on the eyes, make sure to set it with a lilac shadow or some translucent powder to prevent cracking. This step will also set the liner.

Then line the waterline with the same lilac liner you used on the lids. After that apply your mascara. I’d recommend going for a lighter hand so that the liner shows through.

For the rest of the face I decided to leave it quite soft, since this is a daytime look. I did a super soft contour and added a rosey blush. And -of course- some good ol’ highlighter.

And last but not least, lips. A pinky nude will pair up with this look perfectly but feel free to change it up. I just wanted the main focus to be on the eyes.

And this is the final result.

I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and that you got some inspiration for VDay. Also feel free to leave suggestions in the comment section of what type of looks you’d like to see for the nightime version of this post.

Thanks for reading!
