ColourPop Collections Review & Swatches

It is no secret that ColourPop is an amazing brand. I personally love their eyeshadows the most, and today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on them and part of my collection as well.

ColourPop comes out with collections often and I got two different eyeshadow quads that piqued my interest. One of them is a collaboration with one of my favorite youtubers Shaaanxo and the other one is their valentines day collection I believe, but don’t quote me on that.

The super shock shadows are extremely pigmented and easy to work with even though they are a very odd texture. I honestly don’t know how to describe the texture because before these shadows I had never tried anything that compares. If you are debating on getting some I would say that you should stop debating and start buying because the shadows are amazing in more than one way and I think everyone should get to experience these magical things. Plus they’re super affordable and they have a wide range of colors, from neutrals to super crazy colors.

Shaaanxo Eyeshadow Quad

This is a very neutral and wearable quad. Shannon decided on all of the colors and she even did an incredible look on her youtube channel, with the eyeshadows that I will be showing you in a minute. There are two matte finish and two pearlized finish eyeshadows and they all work easily. The mattes are a little bit wetter and a little bit softer, at least in my experience. They all blend great and they’re everyday colors that are easy to throw on and make your makeup look a lot more complicated than it actually is.

Rebound Eyeshadow Quad

As opposed to the last one I showed you this quad has more spring/summer based colors. They’re all very peachy and have a little bit of coral thrown in there too, except for one brown eyeshadow. They’re all matte except for one of them which is metallic but they’re all wearable shades. One of the shadows is a pressed pigment and since it has red in it it’s not intended for the eyes. I use it as a blush and it works very well, and yes, I am aware that they have new blushes and I’ve been dying to get my hands on them. Overall I think you can create a nice look with these shadows but I do feel like you would need some other shades to make it work. It all depends on what look you’re going for.
